The Value investing legend passed away in February 2012.
Walter Schloss lived a life away from the media but was one of the most successful investors over the past 60 years. He was one of many Benjamin Graham followers who practised the value investing methodology taught by Professor Graham at Columbia Business School. The following obituary appeared in the March 17, 2012 issue of the “Economist.” While a notoriously shy figure on Wall Street, Mr Schloss did grant an interview to Barrons magazine in 1985. The topics covered in this article are as true today as they were 27 years ago.
